- Workshop Topic #1: How to Make a Successful Transition from Employee to Business Owner
Have you ever thought about starting your own business or going out on your own, but you’re not really sure what that looks like exactly?
So you know that you’re undervalued at work (and sometimes even underappreciated), and you also know that you’ve got tons of experience in your industry.
But the problem is you’ve worked in an organization for so many years, that you really aren’t sure what the next steps are for making that leap, while still sustaining your financial and family obligations during that transition period.
And besides, what should you do exactly: Start your own business, buy a business…maybe even look into buying a franchise?
And what about financing? Where are you going to find the money to do all of this?
These are all important questions that if not done right, can really set you back both timewise and financially. Which is why if you’re considering going out on your own, you absolutely don’t want to miss Popular Speaker & Career Transition Coach Sara Roy as she lays out your options and talks about the pros and cons of each one.
With her straightforward, cut to the chase approach, Sara can help you gain a better understanding of your options, along with dispelling some common myths along the way.
During this fast-paced, highly interactive session Sara will help you think through the following questions:
- Is going out on your own a good idea?
- What business model is best for your particular situation?
- How do normal, everyday people like you and I fund businesses?
